About Us

The 621 Foundation supports educational excellence, innovation and creativity through disbursement of funds. The Foundation helps to provide excellence in education through private support. This last year, we gave the Mounds View School District $92,602.00 for classroom thanks to the generosity of our community support.

Why We Need a New Website

In the world today, there’s a saying “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.
Website complacency sucks the energy, curiosity, commitment, optimism, excitement, desire and sense of opportunity out of a site. It works like a virus that will bring the most curious person to their lowest functioning ability, which in turn causes a loss of interest. Couple that with a lack of money, and you create a website senario that succeeds to fail. In the world of technology, the "If it isn't broke", saying makes very poor business sense. Especially in the non-profits world, where technology needs to be a priority, but again, lack of money or redirection of priorities get in the way. The 621 Foundation need to ‘up the ante’ so to speak, and bring all the possibilities forward so we can serve our community better and faster; to let go of the past in order to grasp the future.The 621 Foundation needs to over-hall its website to reflect all it does. Updating the Foundation's ability to serve the community via the web; something that once seemed impossible, now seems overdue. Our webmaster has done an awesome job, but both of us think this redesign would be great and can happen with your help. A more efficient and better designed website will help us survive the rush into the future. Your expertise can give us the highly selective vision we need to be successful in a advancing our web design.

Again, If our website reflects what we do, then we need to reflect all we do. The 621 Education Foundation website has served a great purpose but needs an artistic change. The 621 Education Foundation website is not broke, but it could use a little fixing. Please help us make it happen.

The 621 foundation was started to help with special needs of the school district. What I feel makes this foundation so special is the fact that they involve everyone. This is not a small group of people that allot money to those in need. This is a large group of school district employees past and present as well as community residents that form together to ensure that the needs of our children (our future) are met. These individuals dedicate countless hours on events and establishing critieria for their donations. As a collective whole they have worked tiredlessly to promote a positive and cohesive community for which they have given and rarely receive. This new website would be a wonderful way to enhance all that this wonderful group has worked so hard on. A new website would give the opportunity to showcase all of the inspiring and selfless work this group does. The 621 Foundation is a vibrant organization, really making a difference in education during a time of many educational budget cuts. PLEASE, for the love of all that is good, help them with their website! I realize that their website is functional, but it doesn't reflect their passion or energy! The photos are the size of postage stamps, no where does it show all of the wonderful programs that they have funded. We need to show children playing the African drums that were donated or in the school play that wouldn't be possible without funds from the 621 Foundation. They invest tens of thousands of dollars for creative and innovative programs for our school district, yet lack creativity in their own website! Their gifts and talents lie in supporting teachers and the educational system. Let's make their website an accurate reflection of who they are and what they are doing!
