About Us
Maple Plain Community Church, launched almost 60 years ago, exists to be a catalyst for life and hope for our local community. With both traditional and contemporary worship services, MPCC seeks to serve multi-generations in leading them to glorify God through knowing Him and making Him known.Why We Need a New Website
In the almost 60 years that MPCC has served its community, it has seen the culture and technology develop at a rapid pace. While the mission of MPCC remains the same, the means to carrying that out must be adapted to the technological advances of our day and age. More than ever, technology can be used as a driving force and a resource to fulfilling our mission. As we look to the future, we believe that a new website would greatly benefit MPCC's accomplishment of our mission in several ways:For our church members and regular attendees, a new website would offer significant improvements to our communication of ministries and events, as well as to the information we would be able to resource them with downloadable sermons, devotionals, etc. Administratively, a new website could serve as a great help in scheduling volunteers for the various events and ministries of MPCC.
Locally, it would help us in reaching out to our community. A recent study by George Barna found that 90% of people that visit a church for the first time do so as a result of going to their website. Thus, to attract new attendees, a well done website that accurately communicates who we are and what we have to offer is vital.
In regards to our global outreach, MPCC has relationships and strong connections with several missionaries and ministries in other countries. A new website would give us an opportunity to both improve our communication with them as well as to give them greater access to information of what is taking place in and through the church.
