About Us

The primary mission of 200 Orphanages Worldwide.org is to raise funds to build 200 + new Orphanages around the world. The need is growing daily in impoverished countries all across the world. The worldwide HIV crisis, civil wars, natural disasters and extreme poverty creates unimaginable suffering for the most innocent among us. 200Orphanagesworldwide was formed to help provide orphans with the most basic of needs-- a safe shelter and roof over their heads.

The goal will be achieved by raising awareness among individual and corporate donors about the housing needs of orphans through our interactive and informative website. The orphanages will be identified by partnering with in-country nonprofits and organizations which know the local need and share a desire to build suitable facilities to house and care for orphans in their country. The secondary goal will be to build awareness of the needs of orphans around the world and to provide a means for people to give and volunteer internationally. The mission will be accomplished by driving donors to the organization’s website with a variety of marketing campaigns, PR and networking events.

Why We Need a New Website

The website will serve as a window to the needs of orphans around the world. The website will be a forum for existing organizations in-country who are helping the poorest of the poor. Organizations with orphanages in development will be able to raise awareness and funds for building suitable facilities for the orphans. The website will feature photos of the building plans, for qualifying orphanages, a description of the mission of the orphanage, a profile of the organization, a description of the need and the amount needed to complete the building. Individuals will be able to choose the orphanage they want to donate to and follow its progress online. There will also be a donor profile for people to complete who want to watch the orphanage they choose raise funds to complete its work. Individuals and corporations will be able to donate online from their bank accounts to the orphanage of their choice through 200orphanagesworldwide. They will be able to view their giving history from this site as well, get email alerts when a donation is made. In addition, corporate donations will be solicited. Also, a volunteer page with volunteer opportunities and an application will allow volunteers to apply for international volunteer opportunities to help with the building and other needs of each of the orphanages.
